United Way Day of Caring

Women United is organizing a team to participate in United Way’s Day of Caring. We will be assisting the Virginia Discovery Museum, starting at 9 am, and could use a few more volunteers. The museum will be closed to the public to clean and repair exhibits, as well as perform regular maintenance, such as painting. There will be a variety of tasks – from stationary, organizational assignments to more physically intense carpentry projects – so there is something for everyone! Most of the day will be spent inside, with cleaning and maintenance of the vintage carousel being the only outdoor task. Lunch and drinks will be provided. Face masks are encouraged but not required.
