Women United in Philanthropy’s Grant Committee received an amazing 33 organization nominations from its members. Each of these nominated 501c3’s has been diligently addressing the needs of area women and children and the committee has been so impressed to learn about the impact of their work upon the Region-10 area.

Given the current COVID-19 guidelines and in the best interests of both our members and nominated non-profits, we have concluded that it is best to extend our grant timeline by an additional two months, enabling both groups to focus on current critical needs.

Through this extended timeline, WUP hopes to allow organizations to offer focused, direct care for those whom they serve, while also recognizing the disruptions that COVID-19 is causing within our lives and throughout our community on a daily basis. We encourage our members to take care of themselves and their loved ones, throughout this time.

What are our next steps? The Grant Committee aims to re-align the following:

  • Site visits will occur in June
  • Grant Finalist Presentations on July 22, 2020
  • Member Voting in late July/early August
  • Grant Awards Luncheon in late September/October

Please watch this space, as we work to confirm dates & places and update our events!

These events promise to be remarkable times when we will celebrate the end of this crisis together, as well as the resilience of our wonderful community.
